For more than a century years, Marquette Catholic School has been educating the next generation. Celebrated for our family-like atmosphere and track record of success, we understand school is much more than a place where classes are held but, instead a community that can help shape one's life forever.
This project will provide an additional 24,800 square feet through the building of a new three-story addition. This new space will allow us to increase classroom sizes across the board so that our students have the optimal environment for academic success in a Catholic environment.
As a result of expanding the physical footprint of Marquette, we will be able to decrease the number of classrooms per floor, thus increasing the size of our homerooms by ~25 percent or 160 sq. ft./room.
Today, our classrooms do not provide the square foot requirements our teachers and students need, nor are our facilities capable of keeping pace with our future academic and faith curriculum plans or the level of excellence we plan to pursue. The renovation will allow us to create more open and flexible learning spaces with updated technology to accommodate our pedagogical needs.
The Religious Inclusive Student Education (RISE) Program is critical to the Marquette experience, yet the space allocated to this program does not reflect its priority level. Currently, several closets and make-shift rooms have been created to accommodate our needs. With Believe 2023, we will be able to add additional classrooms and resource rooms to better serve our students and expand our programmatic offerings.
Additional Rooms:To enhance both the hospitality and efficiency of our administrative offices for current students/parents, and visitors, our administrative offices require additional space and a more effective layout. Currently, our assistant principal's office is located in an electrical closet, while our principal's office has no direct sight line to our hallway or entrance. Additionally, the front office provides limited space for parents and students to wait while being tended to or for our visitors.
The new plans will create a more welcoming environment that prioritizes hospitality, functionality, and security.
As we strive to make a Catholic education attainable for all students, our facilities must also be able to accommodate physical differences. Therefore, a critical focus of the capital campaign is the addition of an elevator.
This addition will bring our building up to 21st-century ADA compliance.
Dear Friends,
